You don't need any special kit — the phone in your pocket is perfect. Stand it up at eye level (a shelf or a few books work beautifully), turn it on its side for a fuller picture, and face a window or a lamp so the light falls gently on your face. Press record. That's genuinely all there is to it.

Everything lives online and it's yours to keep, so there's no rush and no pressure. Watch my welcome, then move through each step in your own time — pause whenever you like, go back over anything, and try it as many times as you need. No clock, no classroom, no one watching but you.

This is where the magic happens. Play your recording and be kind to yourself — every actor grows this way. Notice what felt honest, where the emotion shone through, and one little thing you'd love to try differently. Then do it again. Bit by bit you'll see yourself getting better — and that's where the confidence is born.

Your Mentor
I started acting at 54. No training, no agent, no connections — just faith and a burning desire to do what God put in my heart. Before that, I beat cancer. I was a cancer winner, and I knew I wasn't done yet.
Today I'm a working actor. I've been on screen, acted on stage, and been sent around the world recording TV commercials. I founded GSPA — the only drama school in the UK built for the Gospel and Christian community — because I didn't want anyone else to figure this out alone.
