Who's just getting started.

When I walked into drama school for the first time, I looked around the room and felt it immediately, that familiar voice that whispers "you don't belong here".
I was the oldest person in the class. By a long way, and yes, it was one of the most intimidating things I'd ever done. It was awkward at first, but I made a decision that would change my life: I stayed.
I kept showing up, kept working and eventually, those young classmates became my children, my babies, and they still call me Mama Pearl to this day.
"I loved this role in the "Lost Girls" because it not only gave me the opportunity to act, but to use my American accent. I love accents, so landing this job was just such a phenomenal feeling."

That thought — simple, clear, and completely true — is what kept me going through 4 years of training and while I was still training, I got herself an agent.
My first major role I became the face of NatWest Bank — one of the UK's biggest financial institutions. A national commercial. My face. My moment.
Since then I've worked in TV, Film, Theatre, and Commercials. I've has been flown around the world.
"Caribbean Summer" took me somewhere I had never imagined acting would take me — literally. I was flown out to beautiful Belize, where we spent three weeks filming on location. Three weeks in the sun, doing the thing I love most, in one of the most stunning places on earth. When I think about where I started and where this journey has taken me, I wish I could show that woman this moment. This is what saying yes looks like."
I was in the movie Aladdin with Will Smith. Shot right here in England. They took me to hair, makeup and costume. I had my own trailer next to Will Smith's trailer. When it was time to film, they didn't just call me — they came to collect me in a golf cart and drove me from my trailer to the set. They drove me to lunch. They drove me back. I remember sitting in that golf cart thinking — this is real. I am actually here. This is my life now. I'm living my dream out loud?
Everyone deserves to feel what I felt. I've walked through this door and I am holding it wide open for YOU! Come through.
